Augusto (Gus/Toti) Verzosa is a highly-experienced operations, ICT & intelligence professional who has successfully provided consulting services to Australian Commonwealth departments and agencies since 2004. Gus’s areas of expertise include resiliency strategy & capability development, intelligence, cybersecurity, operations management, information management, business intelligence & data warehousing, analytics, Big Data, artificial intelligence, data management, strategic ICT planning, program & project management, enterprise architecture, Agile, COTS implementation, SAP, business process design, organizational change management, technical infrastructure project management, and general ICT management.
Gus served as ICT advisor to Philippine President Ramos for the whole of the Philippine Government (covering architecture, information management, and program management for all national government departments/agencies) and as CIO of the Philippine Department of Justice.
Gus Verzosa has personally developed the following analytic models in his R&D business, Talinot: "Threat Analytics Model/TAM” which provides off-shelf, customizable content for counter-terrorism, crime prevention, and general threat analysis and prediction; and analytics models for air traffic management, risk management, and economic productivity.
Gus has written and published 4 books on counterterrorism, analytics and ICT management. He has presented at international and local conferences in Australia, Canada and the Philippines. His papers have been referenced by the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) - a centre of expertise in ICT business intelligence, labour market research, policy development and workforce solutions in Canada.
For his performance at various Australian Federal departments and agencies, Gus has received written commendations from: Airservices Australia; the Department of Communications; the Australian Taxation Office; the Department of Employment & Workplace Relations; the Department of Education & Training; the Australian Electoral Commission; the Commonwealth Bank of Australia; CSC; and PLAUT IT Australia.
In the earlier part of his career, Gus was General Manager for Insurance Operations and ICT at Lippo Life (Indonesia) and a successful CIO at Sun Life of Canada Far East Division, Insular Life (Philippines), Jollibee Food Corporation International & Domestic Operations, ON Semiconductor Global Factory Operations, and the Department of Justice of the Philippine Government. For his work as a CIO, Gus was recognized as one of the top 100 CIO’s in Asia Pacific in 2001.
